A woman shopping at Target in Abington, PA, was startled this weekend when she noticed a glowing object she believed to be filming her inside the dressing room. Now, she's on the hunt for the creep who is responsible.
"As I bent down to pick up a shirt I noticed a small, glowing pen-like instrument. It was glowing blue," she explained to Fox 29. "As I went to grab it, it got snapped from my hand and at that moment I knew somebody was filming me on the other side of the stall," she added.
The woman, who is choosing to remain anonymous, believes that the person filming her was a man. By the time she got dressed and ran out for help, he was gone.
Her description of the dressing room provides an unsettling reminder that it was far too easy for this to happen: "This particular dressing room is separated [for] men and women by a common shared wall, which is lifted about two inches off the ground. Enough that not only a pen but a cell phone could fit underneath and take a photo."
A police report has been filed by the woman, and the incident is currently under investigation by Abington Township Police. Target released the following statement with regards to the ordeal:
The safety and security of our guests is a top priority for Target. We take these matters very seriously and we are partnering with local law enforcement on this incident. Because this matter is under active investigation, we are unable to share additional information. Please contact local law enforcement with further questions.
